In India, where food delivery services are a huge industry, the cost of a healthy snack delivery is around $4.50 (Rs 10) per kilogram.
According to the Ministry of Rural Development, that is less than half of the average cost of the same product in the US.
India has also set the industry standard with its food delivery delivery services, where delivery vans are equipped with food and beverage dispensers.

According the Ministry, Indian households spent Rs 20,831 crore on food deliveries in the financial year 2017-18, a 14 per cent increase over the previous financial year.
India’s population is projected to reach 9.8 billion by 2050, with an estimated 7.2 billion households in the country.
